The rhinoplasty patient from Pittsburgh disliked several things about her nose. The felt that the dorsum was too high, that her tip was poorly defined, and that the meeting point between her upper lip and nose was too rounded.
Left Lateral:
Her dorsum is reduced in height and her tip has been rotated slightly upwards. The angle at her nasal spine is less rounded. The angle at the nasal spine is the angle at the meeting point between the upper lip and the columella (the strip of tissue between the nostrils). It is preferred that this angle be sharper as opposed to more blunted, a change that was accomplished with her surgery.
